Emmanuel Property Update: The Bell Restoration Effort

Dear Friends,

It brings us great joy to share a recent moment of teamwork, craftsmanship, and care that reflects the spirit of Emmanuel. As part of our ongoing commitment to stewarding the sacred spaces that nurture our worship and community life, the Property Team, led by Mark Hall—alongside a group of dedicated volunteers—has taken an important step in restoring a treasured part of our campus: the Emmanuel bell.

In the photo, you can see five members of our congregation working together to carefully lift and install the new beam that will support the historic bell, a fixture that has long called our community to gather in prayer, reflection, and celebration. The project represents more than just physical labor; it’s a testament to what’s possible when we come together in fellowship and service.

This phase of the restoration required precision, strength, and above all, collaboration. With help from our faithful Fixit Team and guidance from the Property Committee, we’re breathing new life into this emblem of Emmanuel’s past, while preparing it to ring out anew for future generations.

As we continue evaluating and tending to our facilities, projects like this remind us of the deep connection between our physical campus and our shared spiritual journey. The bell will soon return to its full voice—a reminder of welcome, worship, and the ongoing story we are writing together.

Thank you for your prayers, your support, and your hands-on involvement. If you have questions or ideas to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at

In gratitude and fellowship,

Carlos Obando
